The cheap hand microtomes usually have click settings of 20 microns
each. So I would guess that the rocking type should be around 2
microns for a cost of several 100 USD. Are there any adjustments or
tuning that you have not checked? Looking at the Web, every site I
checked that shows the cambridge rocking type in the 200 to 300 USD
range indicates 2 microns minimum.
